The OpenSky Network
The OpenSky Network is a community-based receiver network which continuously collects air traffic surveillance data. Unlike other networks, OpenSky keeps the collected data forever and makes it available to researchers.
I am the lead (backend) developer for the following projects. Both apply big data systems to collect, process and analyse large amounts of sensor data.

The ElectroSense network is a crowd-sourcing initiative to collect and analyse spectrum data. It uses small radio sensors based on cheap commodity hardware and offers aggregated spectrum information over an open API.
In context of the above-mentioned projects, I am also involved in research. This is a list of selected publications.
